Generally below average rainfall again characterised December right across the region. Most areas received between 60 and 90% of the normal rain, with the Bellarine Peninsula closer to average.

TEMPERATURE & OTHER FEATURES
Temperatures were very close to the 30-year average, within about half a degree C. Maximum was 32.4 C on the 16th, but only 3 days exceeded 30 C. Minimums were above average, with warmer nights rather than warm days accounting for the warmer result overall.
